My name is Max Surikov and I own Maxim Photo Studio.

The studio started as a dream in 1999 shortly after my own wedding. I dreamed of transitioning out of my boring 9-7 job as an accountant/consultant to a life where I could pursue photography as my true life’s calling. It took me 6 years, but in 2005 I photographed my first wedding and have never looked back.

I was fortunate to be mentored at the start of my career by the great Don Harper of The Edge Photography Studio in Leesburg VA. During my 2 years with Don I was able to solidify my style. However, more importantly than that, I understood the value of great customer service.

Maxim Photo Studio provides unmatched photography experience. We are not your parents’ photographers and are not predisposed to boring bridal lineups, “barking” photography orders or taking weeks to deliver your wedding day proofs and albums. Although we produce quick results, we never sacrifice quality for speed; taking care to use only the best photographic and video equipment available. Here is a sample of our photographic equipment.
