Over the past five years, I have covered about 150 weddings and I always found it interesting that at about than half of the weddings, there was no professional videography of any kind. As a result, many of the great wedding moments, which I’ve captured through my images, have lacked an additional perspective of stereo quality audio and High Definition Video. Based on my marketing research over the next five years, future brides can expect the days of photography only coverage to be rarer as video and photography capability are fused together. To demonstrate the importance of video coverage, I present the following examples.
One of the greatest best man speeches occurred on May 26, 2007 at John and Leota’s wedding in Leesburg VA. Here is an image from the wedding…
…but what is missing is the context that had the guests rolling on the floor with laughter during the 15 minute speech. Wasn’t it funny when the best man talked about John’s biking trip or how endearing it was when Leota was recognized for changing John’s life? See what I mean, you can’t appreciate what transpired unless the wedding is covered through photography and coupled with stereo quality audio and HD videography.
How about this priceless image of Tina crying after the wedding as she was speaking with her father on May 10, 2008…
I would have loved to record the conversation and provide it to Tina and Jason as a treasured keepsake, but as it stands, this memory can only be relived through amazing photography.
Lastly, on July 18, 2009 John and Mary exchanged their vows in a mixed Jewish and Catholic ceremony at St. Francis Desales Church in Cincinnati OH. I remember that the Pastor was commenting on how the ceremony was going to be conducted by himself and a rabbi with a mix of both religions being intertwined. However, I wanted to capture the actual readings from the Ketubah and Corinthians 13: 4-8 as well as the sound of “Breaking the Glass” ritual.
Hopefully these examples demonstrate exactly why I am making this announcement. Having seen enough wedding memories lost forever, I want to make sure that none of Maxim Photo Studio weddings in 2011 and beyond are covered only through photography. Therefore, I am happy to announce the rollout of Maxim Photo Studio wedding video coverage. This means that my Studio is making a major change in Wedding coverage for 2011 and beyond. We shall be limiting our 2011 bookings to a set number of weddings and with 15 weddings already booked for next year, this will further reduce the available coverage for 2011.
